The Other Beast

Catholic Medalian

Countdown to Eternity

The defenders of the Papacy declare that the church has been maligned, and the Protestant world is inclined to accept the suggestion.

“Many urge that it is unjust to judge the church of today by the abominations and absurdities that marked her reign during the centuries of ignorance and darkness… Have these persons forgotten the claim of infallibility put forth for eight hundred years by this haughty power?  So far from being relinquished, this claim was affirmed in the nineteenth century with greater positiveness than ever before.    As Rome asserts that the “church never erred;  nor will it, according to the Scriptures, ever err”, how can she renounce the principles which governed her course in past ages?” 59

The Vatican motto is SEMPER EADEM, Latin words meaning ‘always the same’. 60

According to Bible prophecy, all who “dwell on the earth shall worship him – the Papacy – whose names are not written in the Book of Life.”   61

Will you be one of them?

If you are a Roman Catholic, my heart goes out to you in your previous ignorance, but now that you are aware of  these things, the Lord is calling you to:  “Come out of her My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” 62

The Bible makes it very clear that those who have the “mark of the beast”, the “number of the beast”, or the “name of the beast”, will receive the wrath of God.  63

If you can see clearly from the Scriptures presented in this chapter the identity of the beast, you must now decide not to have any involvement with that power, and thus avoid having the “NAME of the beast”.

If that name is upon you, do not delay in severing your connection.  God loves you, and does not want you to suffer with the beast.

He is calling you today.

Now is the time to obey…  before it is too late.

 Chapter 5

The Beast and the Name

“And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven."
   Revelation 13:6.

There are a number of places to which men and women go for information about the future -- astrologers, fortune tellers, modern prophets, psychics, clairvoyants, mystics, seances, ouija boards, tarot cards, and other occult sources, however, none of these claim to be able to speak with 100% accuracy.  Even the prophecies of Nostradamus are extremely vague, and could be taken in many ways.

But there is one Person who claims never to be wrong, and that is the God of the Bible.  He says, “Remember the former things of old;  for I am God, and there is none else;  I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure… yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass;  I have purposed it, I will also do it.” 1

In His prophetic messages of Scripture, God does not speak openly;  He hides His predictions in symbols. This is not to make truth difficult to find, but to shield the information from His enemies, and allow the sincere reader to be blessed in his search for hidden treasure.

If this is too much effort, the spiritual treasures will remain locked within its pages, and he/she will eventually be numbered among those who are enemies of God.  Therefore, “Study to show thyself approved unto God… rightly dividing the word of truth.”  2

God only gives His messages to genuine prophets, and as true believers search for truth, the Holy Spirit decodes the information and makes it understandable.   3

Identification of the symbols comes from the Bible itself, not from human reasoning, and it is important we put the identification marks clearly alongside each other so there will be no mistakes.

The book of Daniel and the book of Revelation contain information related to the last days of this earth’s history, identifying a political power that will bring about “the time of trouble such as never was”, a time that cannot be imagined. “It is often the case that trouble is greater in anticipation than in reality;  but this is not true of the crisis before us.  The most vivid presentation cannot reach the magnitude of the ordeal.” 4

In the book of Daniel, God has given a symbolic line up of the nations in a number of ways.  The first was  a metalic image;  the second four wild beasts.  These prophecies parallel each other, both depicting four world powers – Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome.  All beasts arise in the vastly populated area of the Mesopotamia, as symbolised by them arising from the ‘sea’.

It is the fourth beast that is of vital interest, as a ‘Little Horn’ arises upon its head that parallels the ‘Beast’ who will place his mark upon earth’s inhabitants.

The following is the code symbology:

Beasts represent kings, kingdoms or nations. 5
Seas – nations, multitudes, and peoples. 6
Horns – kingdoms, nations, political ideology. 7
Winds – strife, war, bloodshed. 8

Blasphemy:   a. Claim to be God. 9
b. Forgive sins. 10

Woman – a church, true or false. 11

In order for you to identify this power, forty identification marks are listed, together with their source from the Bible.  A reasonable knowledge of history will readily identify the power.

The following are from Daniel 7:

  •  It arises to power in Rome after the breakup of the Roman Empire.  12
  •  It subdues three nations to gain world domination. 13
  •  It becomes a kingdom in its own right. 14
  •  It is a religio-political kingdom. 15
  •  It is headed by a man.  16
  •  It speaks great words against God. 17
  •  It persecutes Christians. 18
  •  It continues until the coming of Christ. 19
  •  It changes “times and laws” not its prerogative to do so. 20
  •  Its dominion lasts 1260 days/years. 21

The identification marks in Daniel 7 reveal that the kingdom is a religious nation, arising to power after the breakup of Rome in AD457, however, Daniel 8 shows that the “Little Horn” is also the same power prior to the breakup of the Roman Empire.  In other words, although it displays religion post AD457, it is still just as pagan as it was prior to the breakup.  22

The following identification marks are from 2 Thessalonians 2:3.4, where the ‘Little Horn’ is now identified directly and specifically, without symbols.  23

He is called the ‘Man of Sin’ or ‘Man of Lawlessness’.

He is elevated above all called God, or worshipped.

He sits in the temple of God, claiming to be God.

These identification marks tell us that the ‘Man of Sin’ is so filled with blasphemy, that he elevates himself above everything sacred and holy. He sits in a church, claiming to be God.

In the book of Revelation, the prophet John takes the prophecy of Daniel 7, and changes the code from a ‘Little Horn’ to a ‘Beast’, one that is made up of the characteristics of the four beasts of Daniel 7, such as their cruelty, speed, religion, authority.

The following identification marks are from Revelation 13:

  •    It rises with 7 heads, ten horns, and ten crowns.
  •    It has the name of blasphemy on its heads.  (Crowns when rules) 24
  •    Satan gives it power, its seat and great authority. 25
  •    It rules for 42 months/1260 days/years.  26
  •    One of its heads is wounded as if to death. 27
  •    The deadly wound is healed. The world is amazed. 28
  •    It persecutes the saints. 29
  •    All the world will worship it – all whose names not in Book of Life. 30

The identification marks of Revelation 13 reveal that this kingdom is the same as Daniel 7 and 8, but gives extra details about the conclusion of its 1260 year dominion.  Although the wound appeared to be fatal, it would rise and regain its power.

When the wound is fully healed, it will bring such persecution upon the world that all (except the faithful remnant) will be too afraid to disobey.  31

The next prophecy listed shows the same blasphemous kingdom, but this time as a ‘Woman riding a Scarlet Beast’.   The woman and the beast are the same power, but the religious aspect is shown separately from the political, so as to reveal clearly that the ‘Little Horn’, the ‘Man of Sin’, the ‘Beast with the Deadly Wound’ are all an impure church, one that is ruling the nations politically.

You will see many similarities in the identification marks, making it clear that we are speaking of the same power.

The following  are from Revelation 17:

  • The ‘woman’ is a harlot, representing her religious nature.
  • She is dressed in purple and scarlet, symbolising official dress and vestments. 32
  • She is decked with gold, pearls, and precious stones, symbolising her wealth.    33
  • She offers a golden cup to the inhabitants of the earth filled with     abominations and adulteries, symbolising false teachings. 34
  • She is drunk with the blood of the martyrs and the saints, showing her persecuting history. 35
  • Her name is: ‘MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH’. 36
  • As a mother, her daughters (other churches) follow her false teachings. 37
  • She is a great city that reigns over the kings of the earth, literally in John’s day, and with increasing power as time continues to the end. 38
  • She sits on seven heads, representing seven mountains. 39
  • She sits on many waters, representing. the nations of the earth. 40
  • She sits on a scarlet-coloured beast, her political nature. 41
  • The ‘beast’ has seven heads and ten horns. 42
  • The ten horns (representing ten kingdoms), have no crowns, as they have ‘received no kingdom as yet…’ This is still future. 43
  • The beast is blasphemous, showing that the character has not changed over the years. 44
  • The beast is one that was, and is not, and yet will ascend, symbolising that this kingdom was in power, then it was not, but it will resume power in the future, fitting perfectly with the ‘deadly wound’ that was ‘healed’. 45
  • The seven  heads of the beast represent the seven hills upon which the woman sits, but they also represent seven stages of dominion. 46
  • The beast only has power when it is supported by the ten horns. 47
  • The united nations will give their power to the beast for ‘one hour’.  This may just represent a short time, or it may represent one twenty-fourth of a prophetic day, which is 15 literal days. The ten horns ‘have one mind’ all are in agreement. 48
  • The combined aim of the woman, the beast and the ten horns is to persecute Christ in His representatives upon earth. 49
  • After the time of persecution, the ten horns will hate the woman, and burn her with fire.  50
  • The rich men of the  world will lament and mourn for her. 51

Now the question must be asked:

What religio-political kingdom – a church – arose to power in Europe, after the break-up of the Roman empire, became a nation in its own right, is headed by a man, and has a history of persecuting Christians who do not agree with its teachings?

There is only one power that fits the Bible description – the Roman Catholic Church, also called the Papacy, presided over by the Pope in the Vatican.

Ezekiel 4:6.  The dominion began in AD538, when the third Aryan nation was destroyed.  It ruled the world until General Berthier put an end to it in 1798 by capturing the Pope and taking him captive.
Daniel 8:8-12.  In Daniel 8, the line-up begins with Medo-Persia, as Babylon has passed off the scene.  Then comes Greece, and instead of Rome as expected, the Little Horn is introduced.  Many Bible scholars believe the Little Horn of Daniel 8 is a new power altogether, but this is not consistent with good Bible exegesis.  With the same identification marks, we can safety say that the Little Horn is papal Rome, but in Daniel 8, we are told that the Horn of this religious power actually began way back around the fall of Greece. The Bible says it came from one of the four winds, arose as pagan Rome and then changed to papal Rome.  Some believe it came from one of the four horns, but the gender of winds fits better than horns, although it certainly arose from one of the areas governed by post-Greek rulers.

Daniel shows the persecutor, John shows the persecuted in Rev 12. They will break themselves and perish, but the Church will remain, indefectible… The Church is with us, exactly as Christ founded it, and stronger than ever.”
Rev 13:8.
Rev 18:4.
Rev 13:16.17. 14:9-11.

One essential point is that we are not speaking of individual members of the Roman Catholic Church.  God loves everyone, especially the honest in heart, but he hates the false system. We must love the Catholic people, for they have been deceived.

Cardinal Newman, a Roman Catholic stated, “A sacerdotal order is historically the essence of the Church of Rome;  if not divinely appointed, it is doctrinally the essence of antichrist.” 52

We must realise that the Antichrist is not a future man who will bring about the tribulation;  he is already sitting ‘in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God”. 2 Thessalonians 2:3.4.  The Antichrist claims to be ‘anti’ – in place of – Christ. 53

Does the Pope claim to be Anti-Christ?

In his book ‘Crossing the Threshold of Hope’ Pope John Paul 11 wrote, “The leader of the Catholic Church is defined by the faith as the Vicar of Jesus Christ… The Pope is considered the man on earth who represents the Son of God, who ‘takes the place’ of the Second Person of the omnipotent God of the Trinity… Have no fear when people call me the ‘Vicar of Christ’, when they say to me ‘Holy Father’, or ‘Your Holiness’… which seem even inimical (hostile, harmful, contrary) to the Gospel.” 53

There is no question, it is contrary to the gospel

When the Pope identifies himself as the “Vicar of Christ”, he is saying, “I AM VICARIUS FILII  DEI – THE MAN WITH THE NUMBER 666”

The blasphemous words are spelt out clearly in other Roman Catholic  literature, such as follows: “The Pope is crowned with a triple crown, as king of heaven and of earth and of the lower regions”. 54

An eye witness has said that ‘Vicarius’ is on the first crown, ‘Filii’ on the second, and ‘Dei’ on the lower division of the crown. Dei is made up of 100 diamonds, the other two words are precious stones of darker colour.  55

Roman Catholics say these words are no longer on the triple crown, however, the Pope has five crowns,  some for public show, some not. 56

The blasphemy continues, “Moreover the superiority and the power of the ‘Roman Pontiff by no means pertains only to earthly things, but even over angels, whom he is greater… if angels err in the faith, or think contrary to the faith, they could be judged and excommunicated by the Pope, for he is of so great dignity and power that he forms one and the same tribunal with Christ… the Pope is as it were ‘God on earth’, chief ‘King of Kings’.”  57

The Pope also claims to be “the Head of the Clergy”, which is   DUX CLERI in Latin.  This title also has the secret number hidden. D = 500, U (V) = 5,  X = 10,  C = 100,  L = 50, E = 0, R = 0, I = 1 = 666 58        The harlot ministers from  a golden cup.
